Another NTD day

Today is another "Nothing To Do" day. I spent the whole day watching "Naruto" at youtube. I began with the last mission from the last season, where Gaara's setto was captured. It was an exciting one because all the genins, except Ten Ten, were involved under Shikamaru's leadership. Then Naruto went for training under Jiraiya after this. In the new series, it started with Naruto coming back to Konoha and Tsunade Sama arranged Sakura and him to be tested by Kakashi Sensei together. Exciting hur~? Back to watching... Followed by Bleach... Aizen is back...

I wished there was something for me to do

I have been idling since end of last week. Very guilty-felt because the whole project was behind time but I was not of any help. It was difficult to pass time. Nothing contributive was done. I used the time searching for institutions for higher learning and found that MDIS courses have the cheapest loan offer. I was attracted by their new course (awarded by Southern Cross University, Australia) -
Bachelor of Business in Convention and Event Tourism Management. Its course curriculum is as following:-

Personal Communications for Tourism & Hospitality Industry
Introduction to Tourism & Hospitality Marketing
Introduction to Tourism & Hospitality Management
Financial Analysis for Tourism & Hospitality
Tourism & Hospitality in Sales and Promotion
Human Resource Management in the Tourism & Hospitality Industry
Strategic Management for Tourism & Hospitality Entreprises
Tourism & Hospitality Research & Analysis
Conventions, Meetings & Exhibitions Management
Information Systems for Tourism, Hotel & Event Management
Food & Beverage Management
Professional Development in the Workplace
Facility & Risk Management for Hospitality Operations
Economic Analysis for Tourism & Hospitality
Business Law & Ethics for Tourism & Hospitality
Project Management for Conventions, Events and Festivals
Theming & Staging for Convention and Event Tourism
Tourism Theories and Practices
Entrepreneurship in Tourism and Hospitality
Events Management

Last but not least, the course sums up with a 6-month internship. Hopefully MDIS has the contacts for this internship. I will email to find out from them soon. The whole course fee is $28,800. The loan 's interest rate is cheaper for MDIS course at TCC. For a pauper like me, I think this educational institution would be the best choice.

My objective is very simple, I want to get out of a boring job and start a career of eventful experience. It is time for a change and get a degree level recognition too. Mass communication was my 1st ambition last time but I am not very confident of my writing skills now. I might have been able to write and express pretty well during my A levels, owing the credits to reading news paper weekly and writing reviews, it is definitely not the case now. I loved writing reviews especially when the articles showed some critical issues happened at that point of time. Now, after 1 year of JAVA programing, I think I could only "write" JAVA. Looking back at the time when I had to write article reviews, it was really "shiok" to criticise the article without having to bear any consequences. Just to make the point, I did not make personal accusation or written assaults to anyone, all I did was giving honest remarks. Haha.. Maybe I should start writing again reflecting what I read or see in the news reports. It would stimulate my thinking and broaden my horizons. How I wished I could see my GP lecturer again and tell her how much I appreciate her teaching methods. It really works splendidly especially for someone like me who never liked to read books or novels.

Another thing I would like to mention. There was once when we need to write book reviews for 2 books during the holidays, I did not even finish any of the books, because I did them only the last 2 nights before submission, but my reviews had grades for B+ and A. I felt guilty. All I did was to read the front chapter and ending. Well, it cannot be helped. The chapters in between were really draggy and boring. I kept falling asleep when reading them. Haha.. I wonder how many of my classmates also did the same or they just read the reviews from friends of other classes and submitted their assignment? It leaves a question unanswered...

Anyway the most critical question comes back to me being what course to study. I am not that branding person, as long as I like the modules and I could find job with the paper qualification, it's the one. Now it seems that too many choices is bad for me.
